                Welcome to our ranch!

Nestled in the mile high mountains of southwestern New Mexico, our ranch is home to a unique and colorful flock of Painted Desert sheep. Hair sheep represent only about 3% of the sheep in North America, so these exotic looking bighorn rams and sleek spotted ewes and lambs attract more than their fair share of attention.

This breed is naturally hardy and parasite resistant and make a fun and practical addition for hobby farms, 4-H projects, and outfitters, as well as living weed eaters and lawn mowers. Their meat is lean and tasty with no mutton flavor, and they shed their heavy winter coats each spring so shearing is not needed. Twins are the norm and the ewes produce enough milk to raise two lambs, sometimes even three, without assistance.

If you are looking for healthy, beautiful Painted Desert sheep, you've come to the right place! See our Contact Us page and get information on rams, ewes and lambs that are currently for sale.
